Switching to windows 10
Believe it or not Windows 7 has been around since 2009, that’s over 10 years of support. On January 14, 2020 Microsoft will no longer provide technical support for any issues, software updates and security updates or fixes. Change can be difficult but Windows 10 provides a lot of new and exciting features.
How does this affect you?
Even though Windows 7 won’t completely shut down, it’s important that you upgrade to the most current operating system. Since the operating system will no longer receive security updates, over time this will lead to Windows 7 to become an insecure OS. This means your computer will become prone to viruses and malware.
Is your computer able to run Windows 10?
If you got your computer back when Windows 7 was launched. You most likely won’t be able to run the new Windows 10 operating system. But if it is a system you purchased within the last year or two, you might be able to upgrade without any problems.
